The Process of ABS Injection Molding

The process of ABS injection molding includes the following steps:

1. Design mold: Design and produce suitable molds based on the appearance and size requirements of the product. A mold usually consists of a mold substrate, mold cavity, and mold core.

2. Preparation of raw materials: Prepare the required ABS resin particles and mix them according to product requirements.

3. Heating and melting: Place ABS resin particles into the hopper of the injection molding machine, and heat them above the melting point through a heating system to become a flowable melt.

4. Injection: Add an appropriate amount of ABS resin melt into the mold, and then inject the melt into the mold cavity through pressure.

5. Cooling and molding: Maintain a certain temperature and pressure for a period of time to cool and shape the melt.

6. Demolding: Remove the formed product from the mold.

7. Post treatment: Perform necessary treatments on the product, such as trimming, painting, etc.
