The Process Flow of Rim Injection Molding

The process flow of rim injection molding usually includes the following steps:

1. Preparation of raw materials

Pre treat the raw materials, such as drying, screening, mixing, etc., to ensure the quality and uniformity of the raw materials.

2. Mold preparation

Design and manufacture molds suitable for rim forming. The mold needs to have precise dimensions and shapes to ensure that the produced wheels meet the design requirements.

Clean the mold to ensure that the inside of the mold is clean and free of impurities, to avoid affecting product quality.

3. Heating and plasticization

Add plastic raw materials into the barrel of the injection machine.

Heat the barrel to melt and mix the plastic raw materials evenly, forming a flowable melt.

4. Injection

After the mold is closed, the molten material is injected into the mold cavity through the injection system of the injection machine.

Control the injection speed, pressure, and time to ensure that the melt can completely fill the mold cavity and expel the gas inside.

5. Cooling and Curing

After the melt fills the cavity, the cooling process begins immediately. This is usually achieved by introducing cooling water or other cooling media into the mold.

The cooling process gradually solidifies the melt to form the desired rim shape.

6. Demoulding

After the rim is completely cured, open the mold and remove the wheel rim.

Conduct a preliminary inspection of the demolded wheel rim to ensure it is defect free and meets quality requirements.

7. Post processing

Perform necessary post-treatment on the wheels, such as deburring, polishing, spraying, etc., to improve their appearance quality and durability.

Conduct final quality inspection to ensure that the wheels meet design requirements and relevant standards.

8. Packaging and Shipping

Package qualified wheels to prevent damage during transportation and storage.

Ship the wheels to the customer according to the order requirements.
